Called the Loupe, the Space Needle’s new floor gives a view not just of the people below, but the inside of the building and the elevator as well. Visitors can walk on the glass floor and admire the views.

To keep the floor, benches, and walls safe for visitors, the glass was designed like reinforced concrete. Each glass panel has between three and ten structural layers as backups.

According to the Space Needle’s management, this is the first and only rotating glass floor in the world.
