The MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) is set to begin construction in Greenpoint Avenue, Brooklyn on a $23.4 million dollar elevator project this coming September. Three elevators will be added as well as stairs, handrails, turnstiles and braille signage.
Modification will also include the agent booth making its height wheelchair and user friendly. The project will take around 2 years to complete.
Greenpoint Avenue is the second station in Brooklyn to go through an elevator installation project.
